Comic Shop News #2045: The 2026 CSN Spooktacular

It's the 2026 CSN Spooktacular! Drew Friedman's cover sends Grandpa Al Lewis, in full Munster-cowboy regalia, soaring above the East River on the Roosevelt Island tram.

Inside, Drew talks about Halloweens in rubber Don Post masks, growing up on Famous Monsters of Filmland, Creepy and Eerie, the Ackermansion's influence on his studio, his "Jewseum of Comedy," and why Karloff and Tor Johnson never get old. A tribute to "Ghastly" Graham Ingels follows, along with a Collector Crypt of seasonal picks: the Hellboy Omnibus, Junji Ito, Beasts of Burden, Frankenstein Alive, Alive!, the Blade Early Years Omnibus, Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, EC Epitaphs from the Abyss, Batman: The Long Halloween, Hellboy: The Crooked Man, Sock Monkey, Stoker's Dracula, Harrow County and more. Dave's Poison Pen explains the story behind the cover, and we salute Forrest J. Ackerman.
